Wand of Eihwaz is made from the Bottle Tree, local to LA by ThirdEyeCapybara
Wand of Jupiter
Wood: Bottle Tree, Kurrajong native to Australia
Ingredients in the making: Love and care, these simple wands were not made with the masa so that you can create your own charge and purpose.
Each wand should be meditated upon to meet with the spirit. A small offering such as a cup of clean water or fertile soil should be present. The descriptions are what the spirit is strongest at, not the full scope of their capabilities. Companion wands are best for everyday work where the guide wands will need extra work to bind to your purpose.
Kurrajong, or the Bottle Tree was imported to Los Angeles from Australia as an ornamental tree, they are in fact great providers. In the indigenous culture of Australia the seed and taproot provide food, the branches provided storage, and parts of the tree herself can be used in weaving.
The Rune Eihwaz is associated with the Birch, traditionally, and connects the worlds above and below. It connects to the life energy, the life of the system, and the life of the Witch, bridging heaven and earth, heart and world with the powerful nurturing power of the bottle tree.
Each piece is found or given already removed from the tree but still vibrating with life. When possible I ask for the tree's blessing in person and gift the spirit. I spend hours working with each piece to get a story and direction from the spirit.
Once carved, I anoint each with a mixture of oils ritually prepared using a combination of runes, stones, plants, oils, the sun and the moon. The recipe for each is dictated during the carving process and is based on the nature of the spirit. The anointed wands are then placed in/on the earth to charge and be blessed by the earth.
